Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing patients admitted or being seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures. They will perform the primary function of a professional nurse in assessing, planning, guiding, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

 

  • Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Oversee and guide clinical employees that are under their supervision.
  • May be occasions when it will be necessary for some remote travel. 
  • Demonstrates service excellence in accordance with UVVC standards at all times.

  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations. PHI is a top priority of our organization.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in an acute care setting (Cath Lab/IR Lab ER, ICU, CVICU, PACU).
  • ACLS and BLS certification required.
  • Conscious Sedation experience preferred.
  • Must have an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state to which you are applying.
