Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will be a highly visible leader responsible for a variety of projects and programs that support the overall strategic direction of the company. This role will work closely with the Director of Project Management and all levels of leadership to drive the company’s transformation strategy throughout the entire business. This role is pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment, emphasizing adaptive planning, and promoting continuous improvement. Expertise in multiple project management frameworks, combined with big-picture thinking, will help build the best approach for the team and portfolio of work. Additional expertise in Scrum and other agile frameworks will help guide the team through iterative development and build flexibility in team processes. A servant leader, with strong communication and a “roll up your sleeves” proactive approach to removing obstacles, are key aspects of this unique position. The Senior Project Manager will play a central role in promoting agility, innovation and efficient project delivery.   • As a servant leader, gain an understanding of the business needs and develop a project approach to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Set deadlines, remove obstacles, and ensure project timelines stay on track.
  • Manage all stages of the project management lifecycle while also considering an Agile approach to iterative development.
  • Implement and facilitate Agile project management methodologies.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint review meetings as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, vendors, and leadership as to the project status, risk mitigation, and outcomes.
  • Develop and oversee project KPI’s, budget, and provide continual reporting to leadership about the project status.
  • Collaborate with leaders to allocate resources and engage in negotiations to meet program or portfolio objectives.
  • Create standard tools and frameworks that help our business leaders manage smaller projects successfully.
  • Manage any designated software/platforms throughout a project to plan track, organize, and drive accountability.
  • Provide day-to-day ticket support for UVVC Project Management tools and best practices.

  • Maintains the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations. PHI is a top priority of our organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field required.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in project management required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare organization strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and knowledge of Agile principles/methodology required.
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and/or Scrum certification preferred. Proven experience with Agile methodologies required.
  • Proven ability to manage a variety of complex projects from start to finish, while at times maintaining a high-level of discretion.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, change management experience, influencing skills, negotiation skills, and interpersonal effectiveness a must.
  • Has a bias for action, is a team player, with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Project Management software a must.
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, and can meet reliable on-site attendance and punctuality standards.
