Responsibilities

Manage the overall operations and staff of a vein and vascular services practice, ensuring high- quality patient care. Will lead workflow functions for a clinical staff of physician(s), nurses, medical assistants, sonographers and other clinical staff, empowering teammates to follow through on best practices and processes and tasked with independence and autonomy. Will oversee financial and patient care management, safety and risk compliance and practice equipment management. Will take a lead role in interviewing and hiring staff, and proactively facilitate an environment that encourages teammate development.

  • Provide leadership and guidance with direct oversight of the assigned clinic’s daily operations.
  • Create and foster a positive, motivating culture within the assigned center(s) that aligns with UVVC Core Values.
  • Participate in and lead clinic meetings and initiatives to drive culture, collaboration, accountability, and excellence, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. Model and inspire UVVC standards, setting the tone for leadership across center(s) encouraging innovation and creativity.
  • Play active role in addressing clinic concerns and celebrating successes.
  • Facilitate a successful patient journey and patient satisfaction as a top priority.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to develop and implement patient journey and patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure performance of center(s) is aligned with key indicators and the overall growth strategy.
  • Work to identify problems, present and initiate plans for improvement.
  • Manage the overall profitability of the clinic by closely monitoring financial and operational reporting; delivering & executing performance improvement plans that solve for patient journey gaps, overhead leakage, and opportunities to improve clinical and operational quality & efficiency.
  • Manage key operational performance metrics including volume, revenue, labor and productivity management, and direct patient care expense management.
  • Hire, train and retain quality talent following best hiring practices and ensure appropriate resource levels are consistently maintained.
  • Responsible for employee performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions (with appropriate approval).
  • Implement staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage and productivity for the center(s)and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to staff, resolve teammate conflicts, and addresses concerns to improve staff engagement and retention.
  • Exercise leadership and collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff to ensure clinical competencies are upheld and maintained to standards.
  • Manage the clinic's environment to support safe, healthy, and productive cultures.
  • Maintain clinic performance to align with regulatory and accreditation standards and requirements.
  • Participate in clinic and corporate level QAPI activities.
  • Manage risk at clinic level and participate in corporate level Risk Management activities.
  • Participate and lead Emergency Management and Safety drills and meetings.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to monitor and manage key clinical performance metrics.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to ensure center(s) staff is current on processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Regularly train, assess, and coach performance of team members.
  • Perform clinic audits to ensure consistency of standards.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment in accordance with appropriate regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain inventory and supply to meet the needs of the clinic and in line with budget.
  • Manage employee payroll and human resource functions in accordance with company policy; work with respective Payroll and Human Resources teams.
  • Support marketing initiatives in collaboration with Physician Liaison(s).

  • Act as an ambassador of UVVC and demonstrate behaviors consistent with UVVCs Standards of Conduct outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations. PHI is a top priority of our organization.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related area strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years’ direct management experience of a healthcare clinic or center(s) required.
  • Experience managing ambulatory surgical services or multi-specialty clinics strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching and performance management.
  • Experience developing and managing a budget in a healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of key financial and operational drivers in healthcare practice.
  • Experience with QAPI, Emergency Management, Patient Safety, Employee Safety and Risk Management in a clinical setting.
  • Proficient with office software (Preferably ECW/EMR, MS Office suite, Teams, and virtual meetings).
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Effective team leadership and critical thinking skills with proven ability to make sound decisions.
  • Possess an elevated level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high growth organization.
  • Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards for the role.
