Responsibilities

The Physician Liaison (Senior Living) is responsible for growing the patient referral base to drive clinic volume for UVVC, with a primary focus on skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and related clinics or medical offices.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Physician Liaison Market Manager and Director of Business Development to support and execute the UVVC business strategy.
  • Build and expand referral relationships with skilled nursing and assisted living facilities (SNF / ALF) to drive growth at assigned UVVC clinics.
  • Educate new and existing referral sources on UVVC’s services and treatment offerings.
  • Represent UVVC as a trusted, expert provider of vein and vascular disease treatment within the community.
  • Conduct regular analysis of referral patterns, service performance, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and ensure UVVC maintains a strong market position.
  • Maintain regular communication with referring facilities and their staff through in-person visits, emails, and phone calls to share relevant service information and branded messaging with the goal of increasing awareness and engagement.
  • Plan and support facility engagement activities, such as new service orientations, social events, health fairs, etc.

  • Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies—protecting patient privacy is a top priority.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Established relationships and an active book of business within the skilled nursing and assisted living community.
  • Proven and verifiable track record of success calling on SNFs and nursing homes in the relevant market.
  • Clinical background preferred (RN, PT, OT, MD, PA, NP, LPN), especially with vascular experience; not required.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to balance new business development with ongoing relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional, dependable, and adaptable in dynamic or emergent situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • CRM experience preferred; Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to adopt new technologies and systems as needed.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Must have valid auto insurance with minimum liability coverage of $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident (bodily injury), and $50,000 (property damage)
